Well, here is my first post. 14 days until I start this adventure as a 2011 corps member in Charlotte. 14 days until I begin learning how to be a teacher, an ESL teacher specifically, which I know will be one of the most difficult experiences of my life.
Am I ready? Probably not. Am I ready to learn? Absolutely.

Packing up my apartment in Chicago has made this finally feel real. Since I accepted this offer from TFA in January, it always seemed so far off. First it was 6 months away, then 5, then 4… Now I am staring into 2 weeks and I am both panicked and excited. Chicago has been my home for the past 4 years, and the Midwest has been my home for the past 21.
Am I ready? Probably not. Am I excited? Absolutely.

So, here we go. The final countdown. 14 days.
